Courage Creates Growth – Maggie Pryce

I’ve had a lifelong career in social welfare, working as a social worker, therapist, clinical supervisor, trainer, leader, and manager. Throughout this journey, I’ve embraced the opportunities to grow and develop professionally, making meaningful connections and differences in the lives of those I’ve worked with.

Now, I’ve stepped back from that busy, complex, and rewarding work life to focus on creating a new balance – where family, friends, work, creativity, and spirituality blend in a more flexible and enriching way.

This isn’t the first time I’ve made a significant life change. In 2007, I moved from the UK to settle in New Zealand. Today, I live in the beautiful Nelson/Tasman region with my partner and our dog, enjoying the nearby sea and the vibrant creative community.

These life changes didn’t happen overnight. They required support, courage, personal growth, and the patience to navigate the uncertainty of the ‘grey zone’ as I figured out my next steps. I bring these experiences into my work, understanding the importance of providing a space for reflection and growth in your own journey.
